The 2000 meeting took place at the Loews Hotel in Miami Beach, so the program contained items that not only supported the meeting’s message but also gave the sales force items they could use while at the meeting and when they returned home.
At Check-in, the sales force members received sunglasses, sunscreen and lip balm housed in a tube with racecar sound effects. On opening day, VPs got in on the fun by wearing brightly colored pit crew jumpsuits. Upon returning to their hotel rooms on the first night, attendees found an embroidered gold shirt, imprinted retractable phone cord and Matchbox car, among other items, assembled in a tote bag. Second and third night hotel gifts followed along with table favors and an exquisite crystal award presented at the final dinner. In addition to providing the sales force with perfectly themed promotional items, Scientific Atlanta built many months of goodwill and inspiration with this imaginative program.
